Monica Eng, author of *Made in Chicago*, digs into the stories behind 30 foods invented in this city — from Italian beef and tavern-style pizza to the Rainbow Cone and the gym shoe — during a Saturday afternoon talk at Jefferson Park on August 1 from 12 to 1 PM. The event is for ages 6 and up, and copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing. Registration is required by the start of the event.
