Benefits Access Support with Hunger Free America
Representatives from Hunger Free America are at the Avalon branch on Tuesday, October 6, from noon to 2 PM, ready to help with WIC eligibility checks and SNAP benefit applications. The drop-in format means no appointment is needed — just show up. The organization is a national nonprofit running a local job-training program whose graduates provide this kind of benefits access support in their own neighborhoods. Accessibility accommodations should be requested at least 14 business days ahead by calling (312) 747-8184 or emailing access@chipublib.org.
