Author Nancy Stevenson: Driftless Dreams

Nonagenarian author Nancy Stevenson reads from her fifth novel, *Driftless Dreams*, at the Near North branch on Tuesday, August 18, from 1 to 2 PM. Stevenson, now 92, was long known as the wife of the late U.S. Senator Adlai E. Stevenson III, but her writing career took off only after his death. She’ll discuss the book and her late-in-life success, and copies will be available for purchase. The event is hosted by Skyline Village Chicago and the Near North Library; registration is requested but the event appears to be free.
