Artist Talk by Lucía Garcés Dávila

Photographer and designer Lucía Garcés Dávila discusses her book *Ojo al Aviso*, a photographic study of hand-painted storefront signs in Quito, Ecuador—and what those visual traditions reveal about craft, community, and visual identity on both sides of the equator. The talk takes place Thursday evening, September 17, from 6:30 to 7:30 PM at the Sulzer Regional Library. A companion exhibition of her photography runs in the South Lobby Exhibition Case from September 7 through the 30th.
