And Do for Her What He Would Do For Me – Film Screening & Wine Reception

Join The Arts Club of Chicago for the debut screening of And Do for Her What He Would Do For Me , a newly commissioned film by filmmaker and theater artist Derek Spencer. Inspired by Oren Pinhassi's sculptures currently on view in the gallery, the site-specific film explores themes of love, fantasy, and desire through a three-channel cinematic installation accompanied by a collaboratively devised vocal score. Enjoy a wine reception from 6:00–6:30 PM before the screening. Before and after the program, Derek Spencer will be joined by fellow filmmaker Sid Branca for a conversation about the creative process and the making of the film. Sliding-scale tickets ($5–$20) include one drink ticket. Complimentary remote viewing is also available.
