Amateurs at Hayes

Amateurs is an experimental theater piece that draws from the real experiences of four queer women with minimal ballet training, performed at Hayes Park. The 60-minute work blends dance and storytelling to explore the awkward, earnest world of adult recreational ballet classes. It unfolds Tuesday evening, August 18, from 5:30 to 6:30 PM, with the audience seated at the barre rather than in traditional theater seating.
