Adult Book Discussion: One Safe Place
The Chi-Town Reading Circle hosts author Alvin L. A. Horn at the Whitney M. Young, Jr. Branch for a discussion of his novel *One Safe Place*, with copies available at the circulation desk. Horn draws on seven decades of life in Seattle, weaving his experiences as an athlete, coach, musician, and spoken-word artist into poetry, short stories, and crime novels. The Saturday, October 17 session runs from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and is available both in person and online via Zoom; register by household to receive the meeting link. It’s a low-key afternoon for readers interested in contemporary African American literature and a chance to hear about the author’s future projects.
