Adult Book Club: Dearborn

The Canaryville Branch’s monthly book club turns to Ghassan Zeineddine’s debut story collection, *Dearborn*, a set of ten tragicomic tales set in the Arab American community of Dearborn, Michigan. The discussion covers identity, migration, queerness, and family ties, with plenty of humor woven in—one story involves a father teaching his son to hide cash inside frozen chickens. It meets Monday, November 16, from 6:00 to 7:15 PM. The library notes that sign language interpretation or other accessibility accommodations are available with at least 14 business days’ notice.
