2SLGBTQIA+ History Month: Voguing Dance Class

A voguing dance class and cultural presentation for 2SLGBTQIA+ History Month, led by Taskforce Chicago instructors Skai and Honey at the Richard M. Daley–W Humboldt library. The hour opens with a short history of voguing, a dance form created by Black and Latino 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, followed by a 40-minute beginner class you can dance along with or just observe. It closes with a Q&A, light snacks and Gatorade, and a take-and-make Queer Pride flag magnet to bring home. Space is limited, so registration is required; the class runs Thursday, October 1, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM.
