The Silent Scribe Society is a dedicated writing session at Harold Washington Library Center where you can bring whatever you’re working on — a journal, a screenplay, a work article, or a novel — and settle into a quiet room with other writers. The Monday evening meeting, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM on December 21, leans on the idea that shared space and mutual encouragement help break through creative blocks. No instruction or critique, just a structured, distraction-free block of time. Free and open to anyone. Accessibility accommodations require 14 business days’ notice.
