Open Shop

Open Shop at Harold Washington Library Center is a drop-in session for anyone curious about the library’s maker tools and software. Stop by Tuesday afternoon, December 15, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM to get a brief software overview, ask questions about a project, or see what other people are working on. Equipment available includes a laser cutter, electronic cutter, 3D printer, sewing machine, and hot glue guns. No registration is required, and the format is flexible—come when you can and leave when you’re done. If you need sign language interpretation or other accessibility assistance, requests must be made at least 14 business days in advance by calling (312) 747-8184 or emailing access@chipublib.org.
