Open Shop

Open Shop at the Harold Washington Library Center is a drop-in session for anyone curious about the library's maker tools and creative software. Swing by on Tuesday, December 8, between 2:00 and 5:00 PM to get a brief software overview, ask about a project you're working on, or see what other patrons are making. Equipment available includes a laser cutter, electronic cutter, 3D printer, sewing machine, and hot glue guns. It's a low-key way to explore the space before committing to a scheduled workshop, and no registration is required. If you need sign language interpretation or other accessibility accommodations, the library asks that you call or email at least 14 business days ahead.
