English Language Learning (ESL/ELL) Course / Curso de Inglés

A free English language course for speakers of any native language, meeting twice a week at the Humboldt Park library branch. Small, supportive classes focus on speaking, listening, vocabulary, grammar, and cultural understanding, with the goal of building the confidence to communicate with supervisors, teachers, doctors, and neighbors. The program runs Mondays and Wednesdays from September 9 through December 16; the Monday, November 23 session is one step along the way. Participants register once and are encouraged to attend every class. Offered in partnership with Literacy Chicago. Registration is required in advance.
