English Conversation Practice Group

A weekly English conversation practice group at the Manning branch, held Fridays from noon to 2 PM, co-facilitated by Literacy Chicago. The sessions steer clear of textbook drills, using discussions about current events and everyday life in Chicago to help participants build vocabulary and confidence. Registration is handled online through Literacy Chicago's website before a first visit. The group also welcomes Spanish speakers, with registration information provided in both English and Spanish; sign language or other accessibility requests require fourteen business days' notice.
