Community Repair with Bevel & Kerf Woodworking

Community Repair returns to the Portage-Cragin neighborhood on Sunday, November 1, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM, bringing volunteer craftspeople who will try to fix your broken furniture, appliances, clothing, electronics, and more for free. You can watch and learn, drop an item off and come back, or sit with a repairer to understand what they are doing. Limit two items per person, and nothing that can't be carried easily — no pianos or washing machines — with a 2:00 PM deadline for submissions so there is enough time to work. The team has experience in woodworking, electronics, appliance repair, patching clothing, and similar trades, but they are not a professional repair shop and will be straightforward about what they can and cannot do.
