Community Repair with Bevel & Kerf Woodworking

On Sunday, October 18, from 1 to 4 PM, volunteer handypeople from Bevel & Kerf Woodworking set up shop at the Portage-Cragin library to repair furniture, appliances, clothing, electronics, and other household items for free. You can drop off two items (nothing heavier than a washing machine) by 2 PM, lounge in the library while you wait, or sit with the repairer and learn the process. The team covers woodwork, carpentry, computer repair, electronics, minor electrical work, tool repair, and clothing mending, but they're not a professional shop — they'll be honest about what they can and can't fix, and they offer advice for DIY projects at home.
